This homework has three parts. In the theoretical part, you will derive analytical solutions to one-point and two-point ray tracing problems. In the computational part, you will experiment with traveltime computations with an eikonal solver and a field dataset from the Gulf of Mexico. In the programming part, you will implement your analytical solutions and investigate their accuracy.
